Eunice Napanangka b. 1940, Kuruuldu , Northern Territory Eunice Napanangka Jack commenced painting with the opening of the Ikuntji Arts Women’s Centre in August 1992. Her father was Tutuma Tjapangati, a senior man of the southern most Winanpa Pintupi association, who was one of the first men to paint for Papunya Tula Artists. Eunice paints her father’s country which includes Tjukurla, Warakuna, Lupul, Pnkupirri (Tutuma’s mother’s country, Titurla Nangala), Mantamaru, Wurlilya (west of Tjukurla), Mulpunga and her birthplace, Kuruuldu. Her mother was from the Warlpiri side of , Winparrku, in Western Australia . |
